At AFH, our therapy practice and arts programs engage clients in a creative process of music, art, drama and movement improvisation. In individual and group settings, clients become actively involved in playing on percussion and melodic instruments, using their voices, creating visual art in various media, dramatizing stories, and using movement to express themselves. Arts for Healing works to improve the quality of their lives by using music and the arts to increase communication, focus, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, self awareness and self confidence.
The integration of the arts therapies and programs under the AFH umbrella ensures that every client has access to artistic and musical expression in a therapeutic and supportive environment. The individual and unique potential of each of our clients unfolds as they explore, discover, and experience joy through music, art, drama and movement.
Our diverse programs offer individual and group settings for children, adolescents, and adults, including Mommy and Me and sibling programs. A free initial consultation helps us, clients, and families determine the appropriate program. Please feel free to contact us at 203-972-2982 for more information.
