Why Do We Need Your Support?

Nearly 50% of the revenue for Arts For Healing comes from individual donors and grant making organizations. Because of the nature of this individually intensive therapy program, fees alone do not cover the full cost. As a non-profit organization, Arts For Healing relies heavily on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations to help ensure that our special needs clients, along with their families, have access to the integrated art and music therapy programs that make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Your donations help improve the quality of life for our clients, and ensure that affordable, high-quality integrated art and music therapy services are available to those who need them. We encourage your interest, questions and support.

What is Annual Giving?

Annual Giving to Arts For Healing is the primary vehicle through which, donors, family, friends and members of our community philanthropically support Arts For Healing. By making a gift to AFH, the only therapy organization of its kind in our area, you are confirming your belief in supporting members of the special needs community by helping provide integrated art and music therapy which gives these individuals a unique and powerful avenue for expression. Your annual donation typically is an unrestricted gift that enables Arts For Healing to provide one to one music and art therapy for individual clients, regardless of their ability to pay, as well as group art, music and drama therapy sessions in partnership with organizations and schools from around Fairfield County.

What parents are saying

Dear Karen, you have been able to bring out Harold's smile and his joy of life. He can open up and let us know more of what he is feeling and thinking. What a gift for a parent!

I've seen Manny move from being isolated and in his own world to being able to join his peers in school and even at home with his younger sister.

Dear Miss Karen, As you know, I auditioned for the play Honk, Jr. at my school. Guess what -- I got the lead role of Ugly! I think all of my work in music and theatre at Arts for Healing really helped me do a good job at the auditions. So thank you for helping me so much over the past 8 years. I'm really excited. Love, Brian "Music can always be there when you need it."
