Adaptive Art Lessons
The best thing about adaptive art lessons is the fact that it is offered from any age to any age! Working on fine motor skills with markers, crayons, pencils, paint brush, or clay, while exploring a world of color, texture, shape and material, is a wonderful way for a young child to learn about the world around them. Self- awareness and confidence are enhanced through the discovery of creative expression. As the child gets older, art lessons expand into letter and number awareness, writing, drawing and free form expressive art. During pre-teen and teen years, specific interests can be explored, and talents encouraged. Fine motor skills continue to be developed, computer graphics and paint programs can be introduced, and meaning is drawn from images that may project inner emotional experiences. Adaptive art lessons continue through all stages of development with focus on individual personality, particular interests and specific issues.
